Explanation

The amendment clarifies that the one-page quick-reference guide required under Section 2 of the bill must be made available on the 2-1-1 Infoline website only. This eliminates the potential cost of up to $15,000 and up to $20,000 in FY 15 and FY 16, respectively, to the Department of Labor identified in the fiscal note on the bill.

The amendment also eliminates the provisions of the bill expanding eligibility under the Subsidized Training and Employment Program, which is funded through bond funds. This does not result in any fiscal impact.

Finally, the amendment requires a number of actions by the Board of Regents for Higher Education and the Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority, which do not result in any fiscal impact.
