NATURE AND SOURCES OF SUPPORT:
Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM) supports SB 101. Mike Muszynski, Senior Legislative Associate testifies “Local officials know and appreciate the best commitment and dedication our first responders provide our communities- day in and day out, all year long. This proposal is a simple, yet appropriate measure to recognize their sacrifices and the work they do to ensure the safety and well-being of our towns and cities.
Connecticut State Firefighters Association Inc. supports SB 101. Ted Schroll, Legislative Representative for Connecticut State Firefighters Assoc., testified that “..We will support the concept behind this bill. We will be following this bill to ensure proper language to include organized volunteer personnel.
Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association (UPFFA), Paul J. Rapanault, Director of Legislative Affairs/Political Affairs submitted written testimony indicating that UPFFA supports SB-101.
