SB-1160

AN ACT CONCERNING GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND CHILDREN'S SAFETY.

AMENDMENT

LCO No.: 5458

OFA Fiscal Note

MINIMAL REVENUE IMPACT

The amendment removes shotguns from the definition of a long gun and exempts shotgun shells from the type of ammunition that require an eligibility certificate to purchase. It is estimated that exempting shotguns and shotgun shells would result in a net revenue loss as the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection would still incur certain costs associated with the establishment of the long gun and ammunition eligibility certificates.
