AN ACT CONCERNING OUTDOOR WOOD-BURNING FURNACES.
LCO No.: 7112
File Copy No.: 496
Senate Calendar No.: 366
OFA Fiscal Note
The amendment strikes the underlying bill and its associated fiscal impact.
Instead, it allows the commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to order the owner or operator of any outdoor wood-burning furnace to remove, render permanently inoperable or discontinue the use of any furnace that does not comply with certain requirements. This is not anticipated to result in a fiscal impact, as the agency currently has staff to enforce this provision.
The preceding Fiscal Impact statement is prepared for the benefit of the members of the General Assembly, solely for the purposes of information, summarization and explanation and does not represent the intent of the General Assembly or either chamber thereof for any purpose.
