Explanation

The amendment repeals section 81 of the underlying bill, which eliminated a higher Medicaid reimbursement rate for independent pharmacies. To date, the Department of Social Services has not implemented this higher rate. Should this rate be implemented, Medicaid would realize additional costs of $1.1 million annually.
