The amendment eliminates the provision of the underlying bill that expanded the scope of the False Claims Act. It is unclear if this will impact the Department of Social Services' ability to achieve the budgeted Medicaid fraud savings of $65.5 million in FY 14 and $103.4 million in FY 15.
