AN ACT CONCERNING SCHOOL DISTRICT POLICIES REGARDING THE CARRYING OF FIREARMS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to permit local and regional boards of education to adopt policies regarding the carrying of firearms in public schools.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow local and regional boards of education to develop policies regarding the carrying of firearms on school grounds.
