AN ACT ALLOWING NEWLY LICENSED MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATORS TO TRANSPORT IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS TO AND FROM SCHOOL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-36g of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the restriction that limits the ability of any holder of a motor vehicle operator's license who is sixteen or seventeen years of age to transport immediate family members to and from school.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate a restriction placed on newly licensed drivers to allow such drivers to transport immediate family members to school.
