AN ACT CONCERNING CREDIT FOR PREVIOUS STATE SERVICE IN THE STATE EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 5-166 of the general statutes be amended to allow state employees with a break in state service to receive retirement credit for any number of years completed before such break in service.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow state employees with a break in service to use all previous state service towards retirement credit.
