AN ACT CONCERNING BLIGHT VIOLATIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to authorize municipalities to hold property owners personally liable for blight violations and to authorize municipalities to place liens on other property owned by such property owners rather than limiting such liens to the blighted property.

Statement of Purpose:

To expand current blight laws by giving cities and towns additional methods of recovering blight liens and fines and by holding property owners personally responsible for blight violations.
