AN ACT CONCERNING INVOLUNTARY SHOCK THERAPY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17a-543 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the administration of shock therapy without the patient's written informed consent.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the administration of shock therapy without the permission of the individual patient.
