The bill requires that the Commissioner of Administrative Services, when purchasing beef, pork, lamb and farm-raised fish, give preference to those grown or produced in Connecticut if they are comparable in costs to those grown or produced out of state. This does not result in a fiscal impact.
The bill also requires the Commissioner of Agriculture to post certain information about farmers' markets on the agency's website. This does not result in a fiscal impact.
Senate “A”, which requires the Department of Agriculture to post farmers' markets information on its website, has no fiscal impact.
House “A”, which limits the preference of fish to be farm-raised fish, has no fiscal impact.
