City of New Haven Elderly Services Department is in favor of the bill. They have over 4,600 applicants and a reduced number of staff. They need more time to complete the application process

Connecticut Conference of Municipalities

The Connecticut Conference of Municipalities is in favor of this bill. Many municipalities have reduced the number of staff during this economic downturn. The increased time for processing the rebates is important since each applicant has to be interviewed.
