Explanation
The amendment would prohibit persons sentenced for sexual assault in the first degree from earning risk reduction credits. This may limit the number of offenders whose sentences are reduced and lead to realized savings less than amounts included within PA 11-6. The number of affected individuals and the extent by which their sentences would be modified in the absence of this amendment cannot be determined at this time.
