AN ACT CONCERNING A TEMPORARY HIRING FREEZE ON CERTAIN STATE EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to implement a hiring freeze on new state employees for a period of one year with an exception for the replacement of any public safety employee vacancies.

Statement of Purpose:

To implement a temporary hiring freeze on most new state employee job vacancies.
