AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROTECTION OF TENANTS IN FORECLOSED PROPERTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 47a-20e of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a mortgagee, lienholder or successor in interest from evicting a tenant, after a foreclosure action, during the term of a rental agreement if the tenant continues to pay rent and otherwise complies with the terms of the rental agreement.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the eviction of tenants in good standing when their dwellings have been foreclosed upon.
