REASONS FOR BILL:

This bill would allow actively serving members of armed forces to request and receive the veterans' license plates from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

***Substitute Language: added (b) which requires any member of the armed forces who is dishonorably discharged to return the veterans' license plate within thirty days of being dishonorably discharged. This also refuses the veterans' plates to any member of the armed forces who has been dishonorably discharged.
