AN ACT REDUCING ELECTRICITY COSTS AND PROMOTING RENEWABLE ENERGY.
LCO No.: 5438
Senate Calendar No.: 545
OFA Fiscal Note
The amendment is not anticipated to result in a fiscal impact to the state. The amendment adds a reporting requirement for any state contract that implements a climate expenditure intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The amendment also requires the State Contracting Standards Board (SCSB) to audit these contracts to ensure compliance with performance standards.
It should be noted that an Executive Director and support staff have yet to be hired for the SCSB. sHB 5018, the Appropriations Committee FY 11 Revised Budget, reflects delaying the hiring of support staff until FY 12.
