AN ACT CONCERNING THE PENALTY FOR POSSESSION OF A SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA.
LCO No.: 6332
File Copy No.: 700
Senate Calendar No.: 479
OFA Fiscal Note
The amendment requires the Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) to study the impact of the decriminalization of small amounts of marijuana on the service needs and costs of each department. It is anticipated that the requirements will result in a minimal cost to DPH and DMHAS associated with additional overtime, or the need to hire an outside consultant to assist with the study.
