GENERAL FUND REVENUE GAIN

The amendment raises (from $1, 000 to $2, 500) the criminal fine that may be imposed on any person convicted of possessing any controlled substance other than a narcotic substance, a hallucinogenic substance other than marijuana, or between one-half ounce and four ounces of marijuana. The annual revenue gain under this change is anticipated to be greater than $50, 000 but less than $100, 000.
