AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 38a-488b and 38a-514b of the general statutes be amended to require individual and group health insurance policies delivered, issued for delivery, renewed, amended or continued in this state to provide coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders, including, but not limited to, Applied Behavior Analysis, psychological evaluations and medications.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide comprehensive health insurance coverage for autism spectrum disorders.
