AN ACT CONCERNING THE TREATMENT OF ELEPHANTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to prohibit (1) the use of any device on an elephant that may be reasonably expected to harm the elephant, and (2) the possession of a device that may be used to harm an elephant by a person who is in contact with or in possession of an elephant.

Statement of Purpose:

To prevent the abuse of elephants.
