AN ACT CONCERNING EXTENDING THE TIME OF EXPIRATION OF CERTAIN LAND USE PERMITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 8-3, 8-26c and 22a-42a of the general statutes be amended to provide that site plan, subdivision and inland wetlands applications approved under said sections on or before July 1, 2008, expire not more than eight years after the date of such approval and that the commission or agency approving the application may grant one or more extensions of time to complete all or part of the work in connection with such approval, provided the time for all extensions shall not exceed thirteen years from the date of approval.

Statement of Purpose:

To extend the time for completion of work for approved land use developments.
