"AN ACT IMPLEMENTING THE GUARANTEE OF EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE FOR SAME SEX COUPLES. "

After the last section, add the following and renumber sections and internal references accordingly:

"Sec. 501. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes to the contrary, any local or regional board of education or school that provides instruction, lessons, programs, classes or curriculum that includes information or teaching on marriage or human sexuality, must inform the parent or legal guardian of any student in the same manner as currently used to inform them of the content of the instruction, lesson, program, class or curriculum, and any such parent or guardian may opt to remove the student from the instruction, lesson, program or class or any portion thereof with no penalty being assessed against the student. "
