AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE CELEBRATION OF WEST INDIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section. 1. (Effective July 1, 2008) The sum of seventy-five thousand dollars is appropriated to the Commission on Culture and Tourism, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009, for support of the Hartford West Indian Independence Day Celebration.

Statement of Purpose:

To celebrate the cultural contribution of the West Indian community.
