After the last section, add the following and renumber sections and internal references accordingly:

"Sec. 501. (Effective July 1, 2007) (a) The State Building Inspector and the Commissioner of Agriculture shall study the feasibility of creating and implementing a State Building Code for Agriculture for the purpose of recognizing the unique needs and uses of agricultural buildings. In conducting such study, the State Building Inspector and the commissioner shall consult with representatives from the Connecticut Farm Bureau and the Connecticut Green Industries Coalition.

(b) On or before January 1, 2008, the State Building Inspector and the Commissioner of Agriculture shall submit a report of their findings and recommendations to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to agriculture and public safety. "
