AN ACT CONCERNING SHORELINE COMMUNITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require that the Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, the General Assembly and the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public safety approve any emergency response plans regarding a proposed liquefied natural gas terminal that shoreline municipalities develop.

Statement of Purpose:

To require that any emergency response plans regarding the proposed liquefied natural gas terminal be approved by the General Assembly, public safety committee, and the Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
