RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION TO ALLOW SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD PERSONS WHO WILL BE EIGHTEEN YEARS OF AGE AT THE NEXT REGULAR ELECTION TO VOTE IN CERTAIN PRIMARIES FOR SUCH REGULAR ELECTION.

Resolved by this Assembly:

That article fourteenth of the amendments to the Constitution of the State be amended to authorize seventeen-year-old persons who will attain the age of eighteen years on or before the day of a regular election to vote in a primary for such regular election provided such primary occurs not earlier than sixty days before such regular election.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow certain seventeen-year-old persons to vote in certain primaries for a regular election.
