AN ACT CONCERNING SHARING OF STATE TAX REVENUES WITH MUNICIPALITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the state to share a portion of its revenue sources with municipalities.

Statement of Purpose:

To require the state to share a portion of its revenue sources with municipalities, for example, a portion of the sales tax shall be remitted to the municipality or region in which it is generated, the hotel/occupancy tax shall be remitted to the municipality in which it is generated, etc.
