Special Act No. 03-1
AN ACT CONCERNING CERTAIN SESSION DAYS AND CALENDAR DAYS DURING FEBRUARY OF THE 2003 SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 4-71 of the general statutes, any day on which a session of the Senate or the House of Representatives was held after February 3, 2003, and prior to the day on which the General Assembly convenes in joint convention to receive the Governor's budget message, shall not be deemed a session day for purposes of said section 4-71.
Sec. 2. (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 4-7 of the general statutes, concerning the confirmation by the Senate or the House of Representatives of an executive nomination within ten calendar days of the report of such nomination by the joint standing committee on executive and legislative nominations, any such nomination confirmed during the 2003 regular session of the General Assembly which is otherwise valid is hereby validated and confirmed.
