Explanation
State Impact:
The amendment requires annual license renewal for physical therapist assistants. This will result in an FY 01 revenue gain of approximately $3,360, as an estimated 112 persons would pay both an initial license fee of $150 and a renewal fee of $30 in the first year of the licensure program. In FY 02 and subsequent fiscal years, a revenue increase of $13,500 would ensue, as 450 physical therapist assistants would pay the license renewal fee.
Other changes in the amendment, which refine the scope of practice of athletic trainers or make technical adjustments, have no associated fiscal impact.
The preceding Fiscal Impact statement is prepared for the benefit of the members of the General Assembly, solely for the purposes of information, summarization and explanation and does not represent the intent of the General Assembly or either House thereof for any purpose.
