PUBLIC ACT NO. 98-225
AN ACT CONCERNING EXPENDITURES FOR THE FISHERIES
PROGRAMS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Section 12-460a of the general
statutes is repealed and the following is
substituted in lieu thereof:
Notwithstanding the provisions of section
13b-61, AS AMENDED, the Commissioner of Revenue
Services shall deposit into the Conservation Fund
established under section 22a-27h [two hundred
fifty] FIVE HUNDRED thousand dollars of the amount
of the funds received by the state from the tax
imposed under this chapter attributable to sales
of fuel from distributors to any boat yard, public
or private marina or other entity renting or
leasing slips, dry storage, mooring or other space
for marine vessels provided such amount shall be
equally divided and credited to the boating
account and the fisheries account.
Sec. 2. This act shall take effect July 1,
1998.
