               SPECIAL ACT NO. 97-9


AN  ACT  CONCERNING THE AUTHORIZATION OF BONDS FOR
TRANSPORTATION PURPOSES.


    Be  it  enacted  by  the  Senate  and House of
Representatives in General Assembly convened:
    The   proceeds   of   the  sale  of  bonds  as
authorized under section 3 of public  act  83-549,
special act 74-43, as amended, special act 74-102,
as amended, special act 78-71, as amended, section
1  of  public  act  80-392,  special act 81-71, as
amended, section 144 of special act 82-46, special
act  83-2  of  the  October  special  session,  as
amended, section 8 of  special  act  83-3  of  the
October  special session and special act 86-59, as
amended, shall, subject to  the  approval  of  the
State  Bond  Commission,  also  be  used  for  the
purpose of payment of any  of  the  transportation
costs,  as  defined  in subdivision (6) of section
13b-75 of the general statutes, and for any of the
projects   or   purposes  for  which  special  tax
obligations bonds  issuable  pursuant  to  section
13b-74   of   the   general   statutes  have  been
authorized by the general statutes and approved by
the   State   Bond   Commission   in   proceedings
respecting the issuance and sale of said bonds.
