AN  ACT  MAKING  DEFICIENCY APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1997.


    Be  it  enacted  by  the  Senate  and House of
Representatives in General Assembly convened:
    Section    1.    The    following   sums   are
appropriated for the purposes herein specified for
the fiscal year ending June 30, 1997.

    Sec.  2.  The  sum  of  $365,328 of the amount
appropriated to the Department of Social  Services
for   the  Connecticut  pharmaceutical  assistance
contract to the elderly  program  for  the  fiscal
year  ending June 30, 1995, and carried forward by
section 67 of special act  95-12,  as  amended  by
section 20 of special act 96-8, for development of
a Medicaid management information system,  may  be
used  by  the  department  during  the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1997, to  provide  services  under
said program.
