               SPECIAL ACT NO. 97-2


AN  ACT  REGARDING  FILMING IN BLUFF POINT COASTAL
RESERVE.


    Be  it  enacted  by  the  Senate  and House of
Representatives in General Assembly convened:
    Notwithstanding  any  other  provision  of the
general statutes, special acts or regulations, the
Commissioner of Environmental Protection may issue
a  permit  authorizing  a  film  crew   with   its
accompanying  equipment  to enter upon Bluff Point
Coastal Reserve during any three days on and after
March  18,  1997,  and on or before April 1, 1997.
Any such permit issued by the  commissioner  shall
contain whatever conditions the commissioner deems
necessary  to   protect   the   natural,   scenic,
historical  or  ecological  values of the reserve.
Any costs incurred by the commissioner in assuring
protection  of  such values in connection with the
permitted  activity  shall   be   borne   by   the
permittee.
