               PUBLIC ACT NO. 97-75


AN  ACT  CONCERNING  THE  DESIGNATION OF "GULF WAR
VETERANS DAY".


    Be  it  enacted  by  the  Senate  and House of
Representatives in General Assembly convened:
    Subsection   (a)  of  section  10-29a  of  the
general statutes is amended by adding  subdivision
(42) as follows:
    (NEW)   (42)   The   Governor  shall  proclaim
February twenty-eighth of each year to be Gulf War
Veterans  Day,  in  recognition of the service and
sacrifice of the sons and daughters of Connecticut
who  served  in the military service of the United
States in the Persian Gulf War. Suitable exercises
shall  be  held in the State Capitol and elsewhere
as the Governor designates for the  observance  of
the day.
