AN ACT CONCERNING  STATE  ASSISTANCE  TO  MUNICIPALITIES BASED ON
PERSONAL INCOME TAX  PAYMENTS  BY TAXPAYERS IN EACH MUNICIPALITY.

    Be it enacted  by  the Senate and House of Representatives in
General Assembly convened:
    That chapter 229  of  the  general  statutes,  concerning the
personal income tax,  be  amended to provide that ten per cent of
the amount of  personal income tax paid to the state by taxpayers
in a municipality be returned to such municipality in the form of
a block grant for property tax relief of other specific project.


STATEMENT   OF  PURPOSE:   To   provide   state   assistance   to
municipalities based on personal income tax payments to the state
by its residents.
