he PCSW provides multiple opportunities for state agencies and the general public to learn about women’s issues and to become active in their communities around matters that concern women in our state. These efforts include our Speakers’ Bureau, Sexual Harassment Prevention Trainings, and Affirmative Action Investigation Training.

Through our Public Information Program, PCSW Commissioners and staff may be available to speak to your group around a variety of issues. Some include:

The PCSW provides sexual harassment prevention training to state employees at no cost to state agencies. PCSW Public Information Officer Barbara Potopowitz conducts training for hundreds of state employees every year.

If you are interested in sexual harassment prevention training but are not a state agency, the PCSW maintains a list of trainers throughout the state. The PCSW compiles and maintains this list as a public service but the PCSW does not endorse the the trainers listed or certify the services provided as appropriate. However this list may be helpful in locating a trainer to meet your needs.

Affirmative Action Investigation Training

Pursuant to P.A. 03-151, An Act Concerning Affirmative Action Officers, the PCSW provides joint training with the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities to all Affirmative Action Personnel and Attorney General Designees at state agencies. Foundation training is held in the fall and a follow-up training is conducted in the spring.
