Thank you for your interest in serving on a state board or commission. Did you know that there are hundreds of state boards and commissions in Connecticut with functions that vary greatly. For example, some direct professional and occupational licensing programs; some administer state and federal funds in areas such as the arts, education, economic development, environmental protection and social services; some have quasi-judicial and policy-making responsibilities; some provide advisory assistance to state agencies and still others are created to study and report on public policy issues.
LPRAC currently manages a pool of qualified candidates who are interested in appointment to state boards, councils, commissions or task forces as well as positions in public service and in the private sector. This candidate pool is called the Talent Bank.
All Latinos interested in being recommended for appointments are invited to complete our talent bank form online and provide information about themselves and their interests.
As opportunities arise, we will review our database for possible candidates and make appropriate recommendations to fill available vacancies. While joining the Talent Bank does not guarantee appointment, it does afford you an opportunity to be considered for appointment. If you are selected, we will consult with you prior to submitting your name.
If you know talented individuals who you think should be considered for appointment, print a PDF of our Talent Bank form and pass it on, or have them call us at (860) 240-8330.
Get involved! Be a part of the advancement of Latinos in Connecticut.
