Commissioner Ramón L. Arroyo

(Public Citizen) Ramón L. Arroyo of Hartford was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Special Education; also has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut.  Mr. Arroyo after 23 years of service retired from the City of Hartford Municipal Government as a Special Assistant to the City Manager. After his retirement from the City of Hartford he worked as a Director of an Adult Day Care Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

Since 1988, Mr. Arroyo has volunteer in all the City of Hartford’s Democratic Party Primaries and General Elections: Mr. Arroyo continues working in the political process of the City of Hartford's Puerto Rican and Latino Communities. In the past he has participated and in different community organizations.  The following is a list of the memberships he is or has being involved with:
