Commissioner Ramón L. Arroyo,
Past-Chair
(Public Citizen)
of Hartford, was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He has a Bachelor’s
Degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the
University of Connecticut. Mr. Arroyo after 23 years of service
retired from the City of Hartford Municipal Government as a Special
Assistant to the City Manager. In 2004, he was appointed to the Hartford Third Assembly District Democratic
Town Committee. He continues working in the political process of the
City of Hartford's Puerto Rican Community by doing voter registration,
G.O.T.V. He has been very actively involved in all political
elections throughout the years by working closely with the political
leaders of the City. In the past he has participated and
volunteered in different organizations. The following is a list of
