Commissioner Enrique Marcano

Enrique Marcano joined the Manchester Board of Education in 2006.  Mercano has served the Board in various capacities including Board Secretary, co-chair of the Personnel/Finance and Negotiations Committee, co-chair of the Community Relations Committee and member of the Policy Committee.

 

Since 2007, Marcano has worked as a probation officer in the State’s Judicial Department. He is responsible for pre-sentence investigations and ensures probationers’ comply with the conditions set by the court. He has also served as a counselor having assisted persons with disabilities find employment. Marcano has also worked as a case manager with Project Hartford.

 

In addition to his professional endeavors, Marcano is active in the community. He is a member of the Manchester Democratic Town Committee, the Manchester High School Parent/Teachers Organization, and the Association of Puerto Rican and Latinos of Manchester.

 

Marcano earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.
