
Rev. Manuel Garcia, LPRAC Chairman
(Human
Services) was born and raised in Bridgeport. He is an employee for
the City of Bridgeport Board of Education as an In-School Suspension
Officer. He previously worked as a Controls Supervisor with many years
of service in customer relations experience both in the United States
and Puerto Rico. He is an active member of the community and is the
Pastor of Iglesia Renacer Inc., in Bridgeport, CT. He provides religious
service at the Danbury Federal Correctional Center for Latina inmates.
Rev. Garcia continues to serve on

In 1997 Governor John G. Rowland
appointed Mr. Garcia to the Commission and re-appointed him in 1999 and
2002. Mr. Garcia has continually served the Commission since he was
appointed to the Commission. In 2005 he was re-appointed by Governor
M. Jodi Rell.
