On Oct.
27th, 2007, the Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission
hosted it's 10th Annual Gala Awards Ceremony at the Aqua
Turf Club in Plantsville, CT.
It was an evening to celebrate the best that our communities have to offer by honoring the achievements of prominent Latino leaders and college-bound students alike. The LPRAC rewarded six students with $2,500 college scholarships. This year's honorees were: Leticia Colon, Latina Citizen of the Year Bishop Peter A. Rosazza, D.D., Latino Citizen of the Year Grace DiRenzo, Promesa Youth Award 2007 Isabel González, Promesa Youth Award 2007 Yeritza Vega, Promesa Youth Award 2007 Eric Martin Amado, Promesa Youth Award 2007 Mark Anthony Montalvo, Promesa Youth Award 2007 Hernan Pagan, Promesa Youth Award 2007
