The State of Connecticut Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission seeks nominations of qualified individuals to be recognized during our 11th Annual Gala Awards banquet this fall. Selected nominees will be recognized in the following categories:
· Hispanic Citizen of the Year · Promesa Scholarship Award for Youth · Community Service Award (Presented to an Organization)
The awards are designed to recognize Hispanic men, women and organizations that have made significant contributions to our communities. We received numerous submissions for outstanding individuals in 2007, so if your nominee was not selected, please do not hesitate to re-submit their name for reconsideration.
It is imperative that the nomination form be submitted in its entirety, as incomplete submissions will not be accepted. The deadline for all submissions is Friday, June 6, 2008. Contact Special Projects Director, Ms. Lucia Goicoechea-Hernández at 860-240-8330, should you have any questions.
