Isaias T. Diaz is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut and the United States District Court, District of Connecticut and is an associate at Tinley, Nastri, Renehan & Dost, LLP in Waterbury.  

Attorney Diaz is a native of the north end of Waterbury, where he was born and raised.  His parents moved to Waterbury from Penuelas Puerto Rico and were the second latino family to live in the city.  The son of Nelida and Hiram Diaz, Isaias is one of nine siblings, and has 21 nieces and nephews. 

Isaias educated himself locally attaining his Bachelors of Science with Honors from Teikyo Post University in Finance and Legal Studies.  While in undergrad he attained the honor of becoming a Hispanic Scholarship Fund recipient.   

At the same time, he was a youth minister, evangelist and President of the Youth Directive of La Hermandad de Iglesias Cristiana Carismaticas (Brotherhood of Christian Charismatic Churches) where he oversaw all of the youth groups in New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania and interacted with the organization’s Puerto Rico division.  During that time he mentored countless latino youth’s in the areas of education and community involvement. 

In 2004 he attended Quinnipiac School of Law where he attained his Juris Doctor cum laude in 2007 and was the treasurer of the school’s Mock Trial Honor Society.  While competing on the Mock Trial team, Attorney Diaz made school history as a member of the first team to win the Northeast Regional Championship of the Texas Young Lawyer’s Association and then went on to compete nationally in Texas. 

He is also a member of the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, the Republican Town Committee in the City of Waterbury, the Greater Waterbury Young Republicans and serves as a coach to the Quinnipiac Black Law Student Association’s mock trial team.  

He has also been active politically in the Latino for over a decade and volunteered on several political campaigns from the grass roots level to Congressional campaigns.
