Portrait of America: Latino/Hispanic
by the U.S. Census 2010
Greetings from
the LPRAC Acting Executive Director:
Welcome to the State of
Connecticut Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission (LPRAC).
The LPRAC is a nonpartisan policy agency within the Legislative branch
of government created in 1994 by an act of the Connecticut Legislature
(P.A. 94-152, amended by P.A. 03-229 and re-charged by P.A. 09-07).
Under Public Act 09-07, the LPRAC consists of 21 appointed
volunteers that are mandated to advice the General Assembly and the
Governor on policies that foster progress in the Latino communities
residing in Connecticut.
In this website you will find
a wealth of information that highlights some of the most current work of
the LPRAC. Please take some
time to browse through our pages to
learn more
about what we do or to find the latest information about issues affecting
the state's Latino population.
Sincerely,
Werner Oyanadel
