Quick Search options can be displayed by clicking the drop-down arrow for the Quick Search field.

Select an option from the list.
In the
Number field, type the appropriate number to search for the Bill (i.e., the Bill number or House
Calendar, Senate Calendar, File Copy, LCO,
Public Act, or Special Act number).
When entering bill numbers, you do not need to type the bill prefix (SB or HB).
Senate Bills are numbered from 1 to 5000.
House Bills are numbered from 5001 to 9999.
When entering resolutions, you must type the appropriate prefix.
Resolutions are numbered from 1 and have the following prefixes.

SR |

Examples:
To search for House Bill 556, type 556 in the Number field.
To search for Senate Joint Resolution 3, type SJ3 in the Number field.

The default year to search for a bill is the current session year. To select a previous year, click the drop-down arrow for the Year field to display the list.
Click on the desired year from the list.
Press the Enter key or
click the GO
button. To open the search in a new window,
click the
button
instead.
The system displays the Bill History for the selected bill. Click on the desired links to view the text of the bill or other legislative documents.
