a dynamic network of leaders advancing responsible public policy

The Connecticut Elder Action Network (CEAN), develops and promotes public policy priorities concerning aging issues. Members share information, expertise and resources to develop and advance an effective and unified public policy agenda for older adults.

Committee members meet monthly and following the completion of most sessions of the General Assembly, conduct an annual “wrap-up” forum, which outlines legislative priorities and accomplishments for legislators and others interested in aging policy.Kevin Brophy, a member of the CEAN Executive Committee representing CT Legal Services, talks about the definition of medical necessity during the 2009 CEAN End-of-Session Wrap.
