Commissioner, Brenda P. DelGado
Brenda DelGado is a resident of Bloomfield, Connecticut and has worked in the field of health care administration for more the 30 years. She is currently the Executive Director of the Central Area Health Education Center, Inc. The organization addrsses health disparities in culturally diverse populations throughout central Connecticut and provides services through community advocacy and outreach, education, and direct health services. Prior to her current position, Ms. DelGado was Chief of HIV Prevention Clinical Services for the Connecticut Department of Public Health AIDS Division.
Ms. DelGado holds a bachelors degree in Biology and Medical Tenchnology and a masters in Health Administration. She is currently completing a doctorate degree in Educational Psychology. In September 2008, Senate President Pro Temproe Donald Williams appointed Ms. DelGado to the African-Americane Affairs Commission.
