Brenda Person
Mrs. Person is an entrepreneur who along with her husband owns
and operates two McDonald’s restaurants employing 75 people. She
is specifically responsible for personnel and compliance issues
regarding insurance, transportation and certification. Mrs. Person
is a former Camden City, New Jersey Public Schools teacher and
science department chairperson. There she developed and
implemented the district’s School Based Management Program.
Additionally, Mrs. Person served as a chief administrator for the
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania based Beech Corporation. The non-profit
was responsible for providing funding and technical assistance to
expedite the revitalization of communities in North Central
Philadelphia.
Mrs. Person’s responsibilities included supervision of project
conceptualization and planning, feasibility determination,
proposal writing, financial packaging, construction documentation
and management planning.
Mrs. Person lives in Windsor. The focus of her community
involvement centers on equal treatment and justice for all
residents. She was appointed to the African-American Affairs
Commission by House Minority Leader Robert Ward in March 2005.
